JAMES

Performer

(he/him)

Since joining his first local theatre group back in 2013, James has performed in an average of three shows a year and has landed lead roles in musical productions such as Bill Sykes in ‘Oliver!’, Prince Christopher in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’ (both at the NST Campus Theatre), Nicky/Trekkie in ‘Avenue Q’ at The Berry Theatre in Hedge End and Benjamin Coffin III in ‘Rent’ at The Point in Eastleigh.

He also enjoys performing in plays and comedies with his favourite roles including Benedick in Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, Richard Hannay in ‘The 39 Steps!’ and Alec Harvey in ‘Brief Encounter’. James’ passion for performing expanded to party and event entertainment in November 2018 when he began working as a children’s character performer.

His favourite thing about working with children is how much fun he has with them – he enjoys running parties as much as the children enjoy participating! He is looking forward to where his journey with Imaginacts takes him!

starFUN Q&A'Sstar

Who is your favourite Disney character?
I will have to go with Flynn Ryder. He masks his sensitivity with humour and bravado, and I just really relate to that. Also, Tangled is just awesome!
Who is your favourite super villain?
Gaston! He has one of my favourite Disney songs and the egomaniacal way he turns any situation into the Gaston show is just hilarious to me. Plus he loves eggs, which, I also do.
If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
It’s got to be time travel. To see the pyramids being built, dinosaurs walking around or what it’s like in the year 3050 sounds darn cool!
What’s your favourite snack & why?
Orange and Lime Tic Tacs. I get the pack of 100. I love the flavours and they are a treat that can last you the entirety of a film if you eat them one at a time, as I do.
