JIM

Performer

(He/Him)

Performing has been an important part of Jim’s life as far back as playing lead roles in primary school plays and remains a passion to this day.

With a background in music, Jim rekindled his love for theatre in 2015 upon joining his local musical society, and has since performed in a number of musicals and concerts hosted by a mix of local groups. Some notable roles include Stacy Jaxx in 'Rock of Ages', Simon the Zealot in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Roger Davis in ‘Rent’, Grandmaster Chad in ‘Legally Blonde’, Doody in ‘Grease’ and most recently Lucas Beinecke in ’The Addams Family’.

He is also looking forward to playing the role of George in an upcoming production of ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’. Jim is fondly nostalgic of the amazing imagination of childhood, and is looking forward to helping youngsters create their own sense of wonder!

Who is your favourite Disney character?
Aladdin was always my favourite growing up - it’s the first Disney film I ever watched! He’s scrappy and mischievous - but selfless when it matters. He gives the bread he stole to hungry children, and for his final wish, he put Genie’s needs above his own.
Who is your favourite super villain?
It’s got to be the God of Mischief himself! Loki has style. He rocks that emerald green (which just so happens to be my favourite colour) and has a good sense of humour. He’s always making dry, sarcastic remarks about every scrape he’s in.
If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
I’d have the ability to slow down time! How useful would that be? You could sleep in every day, it’d come in very useful in a superhero fight - or great to just get more time to yourself if you’re stressed!
What’s your favourite snack & why?
I have a love of all things spicy, so Mexican food is probably my favourite genre of food - but as for a snack, you can’t beat the classic: hot wings. Chicken and hot sauce? A combination not to be messed with.
