JJ

JJ has always enjoyed performing, he attended stage schools and youth drama groups throughout his childhood and teenage years. During this time JJ picked up grade 7 and 8 Performing Arts Awards in productions of Little Shop Of Horrors playing the role of “The Dentist” and The Lion King where he played “Timon”.

During two years on a Performing Arts course at College JJ was able to land a role as an extra in Christopher Nolan’s war film “Dunkirk”. Following this JJ decided to take his Performance training to the next level and attended Solent University for 3 years studying Acting and Performance. While training at Solent JJ performed in several plays and smaller showcases including The Doctor and The Devils at The NST City Theatre in Southampton.

JJ also had opportunities to work with professional companies such as performing in a curtain raiser for The Mathew Bourne Dance Company and as a background performer in Cilla The Musical both at The Mayflower Theatre Southampton.

Since graduating in 2020, JJ has been working professionally. Most notably with Theatre For Life, where he recently acted in their community film “Emerge” which premiered at MAST Mayflower Studios Southampton in June 2021. JJ has always enjoyed working with kids and loves to see them experience magical moments that they will cherish forever. He hopes to create some of these as he joins the Imaginacts team!
